Time To Reject Your Approvals Process?

In a recent post, “Top 3 Tips for Making Approvals Quick and Simple,” we point out the pain associated with approvals and provide tips for improving the process. To further shed light on the effect a poor approvals process has on an entire enterprise and how you can improve it with mobile solutions, we’ve put together this infographic.

While we all know approvals are put in place to serve as the checks and balances for a company, the process of doing them is so painful that managers get frustrated when they have to do them. This is especially true for those managers who are in the field with no way to approve on a mobile device. Kent Lyon, VP of Finance for RPC, an oil and gas services company, cites one regional manager who spent over 30 hours during nights and weekends in a given month approving POs. Lyon says, “We as administrators have to do a better job in making it easy for them.” He has since mobile-enabled PO approvals and reduced approval cycle times by 4X.
